EGPAC 2010 Vienna

The fastest way from the airport Vienna to the city is to take the "City Airport Train" (CAT).

This train is a special service, and it is NOT INCLUDED in the tickets, you by to ride on the public transport (called „VOR“). You have to buy a own ticket (Which you can geht at the machine on the platform, the CAT is leaving from, or you buy it before online at https://www.cityairporttrain.com)

To orientate on the Viennese airport is quite simply: After customs control you go on straight ahead about 50 metres, following the green CAT symbols, downstairs one floor, and you will entert he platform of the CAT.

The CAT only goes between Wien (Mitte/Landstrasse) to the airport Vienna, and back again. So Don’t worry about the direction: Every CAT , which waits on the airport, is heading to the city, to station Wien (Mitte/Landstrasse).

It will take 16 minutes to go from the airport to the city.

To orientate here is harder, but you will make it :-)

Just have a look to the blue subway "U" symbols (which signalize every subwaystaton in Vienna), or have a look after painted lines on the ground, which directly are going to the subwaystation.

(Lines are painted with following symbols: CAT, , U3 orange, U4 green).

On the way to the station on the entrance, please buy a ticket for one adult single journey, which is 1,80 Euro. Dont forget to stamp it, if needed!)

Your goal ist subway line U4, which is green. Every U4 stop has a green interiour.

If you are at the platform, please take the subway U4 to direction Hütteldorf. Drive 7 stops, go out at stop MEIDLING HAUPTSTRASSE.

Take the exit, which is in the opposite driving direction of the sub, you took, go up to the ground, and on your left handside you will see the RENAISSANCE Hotel in a light pink colour.
